Twenty
Twenty years has passed since that fateful day I came into this world. Twenty colorful and individually different years. 8th of September was yesterday, to me it's just another day but with the exception of numerous birthday greetings. I was rather quiet though, as I was reflecting on the past twenty years, especially the last three years, when I "tried" new things. I had thought about a lot of things, things that I have failed to achieve and also my past successes. All the lessons learned and unforgettable experiences. No more a teenager (I'm gonna miss a whole lot of this man!) but almost a young adult. Like what Britney Spears would say, "I'm not a girl not yet a woman"... Bleh... XP

Well, I dont have much to say now actually but I guess I could summarize what I felt yesterday thru "Time's Like These" by the Foo Fighters. Initially I wanted to use Greenday's "Wake Me Up Till September Ends" , but found it a bit too sad and depressing. Heck, it's my birthday, something uplifting should be more appropriate, right?

I am a one way motorway
I'm the one that drives away
then follows you back home
I am a street light shining
I'm a wild light blinding bright
burning off alone

it's times like these you learn to live again
it's times like these you give and give again
it's times like these you learn to love again
it's times like these time and time again

I am a new day rising
I'm a brand new sky
to hang the stars upon tonight
I am a little divided
do I stay or run away
and leave it all behind?

it's times like these you learn to live again
it's times like these you give and give again
it's times like these you learn to love again
it's times like these time and time again

Times like these - Foo Fighters
