Dark, depressing, gloomy, it was the week to just sleep in. Thankfully weekend is here and the weather decided to take a day off, giving the people of Melbourne a short reprise after a somber week. After visiting Myer to see what kind of stuff they have there that I can buy and lunch in Chinatown, I decided to take a "trip" to the nearest park, Flagstaff Garden, to just relax on the partly sunny evening. As usual I brought my camera around and Jun Keat brought his too. Wonderful day, the set and setting of the evening was just perfect for our photo session.
That's just a leaf.
More leaves, autumn is coming to an end soon as winter approaches.
A quiet path, a calm mind and a beautiful day.
A flower bed where most of the flowers are gone, came a little bit too late to see the blooms.
A cloud of seeds covers a mini forest of plants, swaying suggestively in the wind.
A sculpture of a man and what looks like a tiger or a panther lying helplessly at his feet, don't really know what is it for. Symbolic of the battle between man and beast.
A frightened furry little critter (possum, I think) staring into the camera, wary of my moves. Startled by our presence as it was foraging around in the park.
As the evening slowly turned into night, we walked along King Street (I think) and this monolithic building looked like it came from a Star Wars movie, with Darth Vader and Storm Troopers going around inside.
St. Paul's gleaming in a shower of floodlights.
Now this is weird. What is this ferris wheel doing here at the edge of Federation Square?
